AIC International Students Scholarships Programme in China, 2013/2014
Alcanta International College (AIC) is offering scholarships for international students to excel at AIC and beyond. Students who apply to any AIC programme as full-time international students are eligible to apply for these scholarships. All scholarships apply only to the tuition fee. Applications must be postmarked by April 17, 2013.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded to pursue courses available at Alcanta International College.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing IB Diploma Programme or Pre-Diploma Programme at Alcanta International College.
Eligibility: Students who apply to any AIC programme as full-time international students are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Recipients of the Academic Scholarship must maintain an IB total predicted score of minimum 30 points in order to continue receiving the scholarship.
Scholarship Description: In support of the AIC Mission, Vision and Goals, and to create educational opportunities at AIC for international students of exceptional ability and AIC is excited to announce its International Students Scholarship Programme for the 2013-2014 academic year, valued at 1,000,000 RMB. The goal of the AIC International Students Scholarship Programme is to support exceptionally talented students and challenge them to excel at AIC and beyond, as well as to make the IB Diploma Programme and AIC education accessible to all gifted international students interested in building their future at AIC. AIC provides three types of scholarships: Academic Scholarships-are awarded to students with excellent overall academic performance. Merit Scholarships-Merit Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional ability or talent in the following areas: Art, Science and Service & Leadership. Financial Scholarships-are awarded to provide financial support for students who may otherwise not be able to attend AIC. The Pre-IB program has been specifically designed to prepare students to meet the challenges of the rigorous IB Diploma Program. The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous pre-university course of study that leads to examinations; it is designed for highly motivated secondary school students aged 16 to 19. The programme incorporates the best elements of national systems without being based on any one. The goal of the International Baccalaureate Organization (“IBO”) is to provide students with the values and opportunities that will enable them to develop sound judgment make wise choices, and respect others in the global community.
What does it cover? All scholarships apply only to the tuition fee. Recipients will be required to pay other fees such as boarding fee, meal fee, medical insurance costs and other expenses incurred for the programme that they are admitted to.
Academic Scholarships -Value up to 100% of the tuition fee
Merit Scholarships – Value up to 50% of the tuition fee
Financial Scholarships – Value up to 30,000 RMB.

Notification: Applicants must be available for interviews within two weeks following the deadline. Only in special circumstances and at the discretion of the Principal, will late applications be considered. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within two weeks after the interview.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by April 17, 2013.
